October Luncheon Recap

Thank you to our incredible speakers for sharing their insights on the State of Education in Gila County!

We were honored to welcome Linda Gibson, Superintendent of Payson Unified School District; Dr. Janice Lawhorn, President of Gila Community College; and Roy Sandoval, Gila County School Superintendent. Each provided valuable perspective on the current state and future of education in our region—from workforce development and student success to how schools are adapting to meet the needs of Rim Country’s growing communities.

During the luncheon, we also had the privilege of recognizing several exceptional PUSD staff members as the first recipients of the Longhorn Legacy Awards, celebrating their dedication, service, and impact on local students.
