January Volunteer of the Month - Irene McMann
The January Volunteer of the Month is Irene McMann. She volunteers on Friday afternoons in the Visitor Center. She is a joy to have as a volunteer as she is always upbeat. Her sense of humor is amazing. She has been a resident of Rim Country since 1988 and a volunteer at the Visitor Center for 10 years. She loves the scenery in our area and believes that the people are the greatest in Arizona.
The biggest change in Payson that she recalls is the development of Highway 260. She is a member of the Elks Club and attends the Shepherd of the Pines Lutheran Church. Give her a call some Friday afternoon and ask her how many snakes are in the Payson area...you will get a kick out of her answer. Irene is living proof that you are only as old are you feel...by the way, she recently celebrated her 90th birthday!!
