February Volunteer of the Month - Gary Klein
Gary has been a volunteer at the Visitor Center since January of 2010. Gary is a very active volunteer he recently painted the interior of the Visitor Center and it turned out great. He has lived in Payson for twenty years and enjoys meeting new people and promoting the Rim Country.
Gary worked at Foxworth and Main Street Paint. Now that he is retired he keeps himself busy doing volunteer work, such as the Rodeo Parade, the Quilt Roundup, the Business Showcase and for the Town of Payson he takes care of the Dutch Oven Cooking contest at the Mountain High Games. He recently went on his first cruise thru the Panama Canal and has plans to cruise around the continent of Australia later this year.
When he is not busy volunteering or cruising he enjoys woodworking, welding, camping, and photography. It is great having a volunteer who is able to share his knowledge with the visitors from around the world.
